I was out running of laundry options a few weeks ago and a listing in Google caught my eye – Clothespa; offering free pickup and delivery and claiming to be English speaking and expat friendly. I thought to me “could it be true? A dry cleaner that actually understands English and quality finishing? And, if so, I need to see how they work!"

So, I called the number, lo and behold, they answered my call in English. Monica, the girl on the other end was most helpful and familiar with where I live and made it sound so easy.

I had a huge load (don’t we all) which they promptly picked up the next day, got it all cleaned/processed and returned to me the next day after 5. It was all done so perfectly. I was amazed.

And the cost? Well, these folks aren’t exactly cheap, but with the 20% discount Monica offered to me as a first time customer, it was quite reasonable as well. Considering the service, free pickup and next day delivery, excellent finishing and free starch on shirts and the bulk wash, I consider my search for the quality cleaner in Shanghai over. They have won me over and I am going to be a long term customer.

Thanks for such kind words. We try to do the best for our expat and foreign friends, know how difficult it is to get things done the "right" way in a country with a vastly different culture. Please always let us know how we can better serve you and your friends and family.

A few days ago when I sent my laundry to your staff, my boyfriend forgot
around 9000rmb in his pocket, then your staff called straight away to notify
us.
We think this is great service and would like to say thank you very much!
The efficiency is excellent!

The ClotheSPA is an expat operated garment care service in Shanghai that provides excellent service. Whether I need suits pressed, shirts laundered or specialty items like polyester track jackets cleaned, they can tackle it all. Plus, the service is very prompt. If they come pickup on a Monday morning you can expect your order to be done and delivered by Tuesday evening (depending on the size of your order). You can always ask for rush (8 hours) service but I have never needed to because their regularly scheduled service is so consistent.

There are other cleaners that are just a bit cheaper but I would not do business with them because the level of service and quality cleaning at ClotheSPA far out weighs the few kuais I would save. You cannot put a price tag on trust and I trust Monica at ClotheSPA.

Not only do they do clothes but they also do comforters and upholstery items and even shoes and hats so they are truly a one stop shop for my valeting needs. Check them out at www.shanghai-drycleaners.com. You won't be disappointed!

OK, I have to confess. I didn't think it would really matter, so I took my stuff to someone else. Boy! What a difference. They lost one of my favorite shirts, and when I told them, they didn't care at all. Acted as if it was my fault or my mistake. You have never lost anything, but somehow I just know, if there was ever a problem, you would take care of it the right way. I am back....for good!

Daniel left tonight on a plane, yes, he really did; and with the suit case that you folks so expertly and efficiently repaired for us. Yes, I admit it; I was a little desperate last week. Here, he came back with a broken handle on his roll-aboard and was due to leave again to Munich, then London in 5 days. Where on earth in Shanghai can I get his case repaired? I had images in my head of Daniel running through airports with his suit and tie carrying this huge suit case under his arm. But, at last, you guy took care of everything. Thank you so much. Now I know why you folks are the Super Valet – Dry Clean, Quick Personal Laundry and EVEN Luggage Repair. My hat is off to you. Thanks!
