EXPO 2010

We have decided to offer half price laundry service to ALL foreign working at Expo 2010. This is our way to show support for the City of Shanghai and Expo 2010. Fanny and Patrick are sending out notices to all Expo participants and staff to notify them of this special offer. We are very busy but very excited that we are able to do our part to help.

ClotheSPA is really a great full service valet, the ONLY one I can find in Shanghai. Although they are a bit pricy, it is worth it if you consider the investments you have made in your wardrobe. They do a great job on men's shirts, getting the collars and cuffs clean and never leaving extra creases, etc. in the shirt.

They also do a great job on cobbling shoes- I've taken in several kinds of repairs and the work is done quickly and cheaply, and usually you can't tell that the shoe was ever damaged when you get it back. And they replace all the laces each time with brand new ones for us.

So, send your clothes and shoes there to be cleaned, you'd be glad you did.

I guarantee it!

I didn't think I would be reviewing a dry cleaner, especially of all places, in SHANGHAI; but here I am. I found SPAwash after searching for a place that would take care of my laundry without, eh hemmm, taking me to the cleaners. David’s Clothes Spa was the place! He's friendly, speaks perfect English and also very knowledgeable about Shanghai, if you need help with getting around.
Anyway, so this is the place for your laundry needs! The price which is just 39 RMB for 5 kilos of clothes is extremely reasonable and they would even pickup and deliver back the next day. This beats the hell out of the exorbitant fees hotels charge for laundry. And you clothes arrive back to you perfectly folded and in these fancy tissue paper that high class boutiques use.

This is a nice place. The biggest difference is that once your clothes are done, they wrap it in some fancy, sealed plastic... you don't just get it with some plastic thrown over it. Jasmine, their sales lady is exceptionally nice, she told me that all I need to do is to leave the clothes with my building security and they’ll take care of the rest. Sure enough, Jasmine had text me that they had my clothes picked up and tagged and gave me the total price which was quite reasonable. I had a choice of leaving the money with building security for when the deliver or pay via PayPal (yes, they even do PayPal). I went through PayPal, text her back and she confirmed the payment within minutes. All my clothes came back the next day done. No complaints from this customer for sure. Life in Shanghai is GREAT! I love it.

Laundry is Laundry, unless it’s SPAwash

I've been a loyal customer of Spawash since I came to Shanghai and have not been disappointed once. I send over a lot of laundry and dry cleaning to Spawash on a regular basis and every time I have been satisfied. I am a lawyer here in Shanghai and I have to look my best in the office and in front of clients. That's why I send my clothes to Spawash. Jasmine at Spawash takes care of me and I'm sure she'll take care of you and your cleaning needs. I recommend her and Spawash without reservation.

Despite a few hiccups, our SPAwash Laundry service for the international students at ECNU is now well under way. The students are back from their sojourn to Hong Kong with load of laundry and we are happy to be there to help them out. Fetina, Sally and everyone will work on polishing up the routine to make sure we are constantly improving on our services to the students. We want every visiting student to leave their laundry blues with SPAwash and have plenty of extra spare time to enjoy/enrich their experiences while in Shanghai.

I have been using ClotheSpa for approx. one year. It is my opinion that I have a valid pros/cons list to provide. My service with ClotheSpa averages 500-700 RMB every two weeks. Thus, here is my analysis of this dry cleaner.

Pros list:
1. The only dry cleaning service in Shanghai that comes close in comparison to the dry cleaning service in the United States.
2. Communication in English is not an issue.
3. Pick up and delivery is easily arranged to fit your convenience.
4. Quality in presentation upon receiving you laundry/dry cleaned garment is adequate.
5. As of date, I have never had an item lost.

My cons list:
1. Over priced; their service is good but it is not equivalent to the prices.
2. If your garment(s) is damaged do not expect a monetary compensation. I believe at times the concentration of their dry cleaning agents are not utilized properly. As a result, I have 360 USD in damages lacking compensation.
3. The shirts are always overly starched or inadequately starched.

Presently, I continue to use their services. Do I recommend their service...not sure. But, I will say as of present this is as good as it gets....if you are a crisp but not fried starch seeking shirt wearer such as I:)

Sincerely
C-Web
