True Shanghai Stories

I'm continually amazed at how inept locals are in cleaning rugs and curtains. My doctor told me yesterday her ayi washed her curtains and they shrunk by 2 feet. Also, when she first arrived, the street shop dry cleaner washed her clothes with a pen still in the pocket and ruined all her expensive clothing. When she asked if SPAwash was affordable, I said, "Yes, compared to that!":-) 

Also a lady today had a Xialongbao juice stain on a good coat...told her I couldn't guarantee anything, but if anyone could get it out (and not ruin her coat in the process) we could...but to get it to us ASAP.

It is very hard to find professional shoe repair services in Shanghai but David Ho, proprietor at Spawash runs a great service for shoe repair and dry cleaning. Not only are they highly professional but David personally has shown amazing passion for customer service. I had a pair of Jimmy Choos that needed heels repaired and when David found they could not do it in Shanghai, he brought my shoes to Hong Kong to get the heels fixed and now they look like new! I highly recommend Spawash.
